Trinetra - Insurance Partner Guide

For: Insurance Companies, Underwriters, and Adjusters Version: 1.0.1 | Last Updated: February 17, 2026

Pilot Status: Trinetra is currently in a closed pilot with Berkeley District 6 residents. Insurance partner onboarding will open once the pilot validates the system. Interested partners can register early at admin@trinetra.app to be notified when access becomes available.

Welcome

Trinetra offers insurance partners a Verification-as-a-Service (VaaS) platform — real-time access to property compliance data powered by AI inspections and cryptographic audit trails. Instead of sending adjusters to manually inspect every property, Trinetra provides instant, auditable compliance verification at a significantly lower cost.

Property Verification (VaaS)

How to Verify a Property

  1. Navigate to Verify from the dashboard
  2. Enter the property owner's email or user ID
  3. Trinetra returns the property's compliance status:
FieldDescription
Compliance Score0-100% based on 15 EMBER audit categories
Zone 0 StatusPass/Fail for the critical 0-5ft buffer zone
Last Inspection DateWhen the property was last assessed
Inspection MethodAI self-inspection, AI + professional override, or manual inspector
Truth Ledger HashCryptographic proof of the inspection record
Risk FactorsSpecific non-compliant items (e.g., "Wood mulch in Zone 0")

Compliance Categories (15 EMBER Items)

Trinetra assesses properties across 4 walk zones with 15 specific categories:

Walk ZoneCategories
Zone 0 (0-5ft)Debris clearance, Ground cover material, Attached structures, Deck/patio materials, Window framing
Zone 1 (5-30ft)Vegetation spacing, Tree canopy height, Fence materials, Outbuilding separation
Zone 2 (30-100ft)Fuel storage distance, Propane tank placement, Access road clearance, Wildland interface buffer
Hardened HomeRoof material class, Vent screening (1/8" mesh), Eave construction, Siding combustibility

Verification Results

Each verification returns one of:

StatusMeaningRisk Implication
COMPLIANTProperty meets all 15 EMBER categoriesLow risk — eligible for premium discount
PARTIALLY_COMPLIANTSome categories pass, some failMedium risk — specific remediation needed
NON_COMPLIANTProperty fails critical categoriesHigh risk — standard or elevated premium
UNVERIFIEDNo inspection data availableUnknown risk — manual inspection recommended

Compliance Heatmap

Dashboard > Heatmap

A regional visualization of property compliance:

  • Green zones — High compliance concentration (hardened neighborhoods)
  • Yellow zones — Mixed compliance
  • Red zones — Low compliance concentration (vulnerable areas)
  • Data granularity — Block-level aggregation (individual properties are not identified)
  • Regions — Currently covers Berkeley District 6 (pilot zone), expanding to broader Bay Area

Use Cases for Underwriters

  • Portfolio risk assessment — Identify concentration of compliant vs. non-compliant properties
  • New policy pricing — Factor community-level resilience into risk models
  • Renewal decisions — Track compliance trends over time for existing policies
  • Catastrophe modeling — Overlay heatmap data with wildfire risk corridors

API Access

Coming Q2 2026 — Programmatic API access is under development and will be available to onboarded partners after the District 6 pilot concludes. The endpoints below reflect the planned integration surface. Register interest at admin@trinetra.app.

For programmatic integration, Partner Admins will be able to generate API keys:

Dividends & Fees

Trinetra's Lakshmi Protocol manages the financial relationship between insurance partners and the community:

ComponentDescription
Risk Avoidance DividendWhen a property is 100% EMBER compliant, the partner may offer a premium discount to the resident
Partner FeePer-verification fee deposited to the community Abundance Reserve
Truth LedgerAll financial transactions are cryptographically recorded

How Dividends Work

  1. You verify a property via VaaS
  2. Property is confirmed 100% COMPLIANT
  3. You decide to offer the resident a premium discount (at your discretion)
  4. The discount decision and amount are logged on the Truth Ledger
  5. The resident sees the benefit in their Prana dashboard

Privacy & Compliance

  • No PII in heatmaps — Heatmaps show aggregate block-level data only. Individual property addresses are never exposed.
  • Resident consent — Residents opt-in to insurance verification when they complete inspections.
  • Truth Ledger — Every verification request, result, and financial transaction is cryptographically hashed and immutable.
  • Data retention — Verification results are retained for the contract period. Historical data is available via the History screen.
  • On-device AI — Property photos are processed on-device or on sovereign hardware. Photos are never shared with insurance partners — only compliance scores and category results.

Frequently Asked Questions

Q: Can I see photos of the property? A: No. Property photos remain with the resident (on-device) or on sovereign hardware. You receive compliance scores, category-level pass/fail results, and Truth Ledger verification — not raw images.

Q: How accurate is the AI assessment? A: Trinetra uses a multi-model AI pipeline (YOLO object detection + Liquid VLM + Coach Kai reasoning). For properties where AI confidence is low, a human field inspector conducts an override assessment. The inspection method is disclosed in every verification result.

Q: Can residents manipulate their compliance score? A: Every inspection is recorded on the Truth Ledger with cryptographic hashes. AI reviews photos for consistency. Repeated suspicious submissions trigger automatic escalation to a professional field inspector. The system is designed to be tamper-evident.

Q: How often are properties re-inspected? A: Residents can re-inspect anytime. The "Last Inspection Date" field in verification results shows how current the data is. We recommend treating inspections older than 90 days as stale for underwriting purposes.

Q: What standards does Trinetra use? A: NFPA 1144 (Standard for Reducing Structure Ignition Hazards from Wildland Fire) and Berkeley's Enhanced Mitigation for Building and Environmental Resilience (EMBER) program. The 15 audit categories map directly to these standards.

Q: How do I onboard my team? A: Contact admin@trinetra.app with team member names, emails, and desired sub-roles. We'll create their accounts. They'll complete the insurance credential verification flow on first login.

Q: Is the API rate-limited? A: Contact admin@trinetra.app to discuss API access tiers based on your verification volume needs.
